This is the board that outlives the folding table, the worn-out deck, and most of the furniture in the house. Solid hardwood, laser engraved with your family name and the year it all started, built to be handed down.
It doesn't get put in a drawer. There's a keyhole slot cut into the back, so between games it hangs on the wall like a piece of art. Your name, your year, on display all year long, not buried in a closet until someone wants to play. The back also has a magnetic strip that holds the metal pegs right on the board, so they never end up lost in a junk drawer.
Choose your wood, and it changes the whole character of the board. Cherry warms and deepens as it ages, so the board you hand down looks richer than the one you bought. Black Walnut runs dark and dramatic, chocolate grain with the name cut clean across the middle.
